Martinsburg High School to see $8.5M in energy-saving upgrades

The work, to be completed in phases over two summers, includes the installation of a geothermal system; replacement of mechanical systems, including heating and air conditioning; and new ceilings. The project also includes the installation of 48 rooftop solar panels that will be placed on the high school’s field house. School officials were assured that the panel work wouldn’t disrupt athletic activities. An agreement approved Monday night by the Berkeley County (W.Va.)
