Houston company lands contract to improve efficiency of Saudi refinery

An energy service company from Houston has landed a contract to improve the efficiency of a refinery in Saudi Arabia. Houston engineering, procurement and construction company KBR announced on Monday that it was awarded a contract to debottleneck a production unit at a 440,000 barrel-per-day refinery in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. Located along the Persian Gulf between Kuwait and Bahrain, the Jubail refinery is owned by SATORP, a joint venture of Saudi Aramco and French refining company Total.
